Noel Harding Makes Pro Debut./ / www.fightnews.ca

Noel Harding has been around the boxing scene for awhile now racking up 40 bouts over fourteen years. These days he runs the Brandon Boxing Club which has about 20 members with 10 registared boxers.  This Friday night he will be making his pro debut when he takes on Juri Zhukov by way of Kiev, Ukraine. Harding said his opponent, "has about 20 amatuer fights, that European style, pulls back alot. My plan is to force the fight, fight him on the inside, and tire him out. Training camp was 8 weeks, I been running everyday, doing some hill training. Sparred hundreds of rounds." Harding was often making the two hour trip to Winnipeg to get sparring in with local pro's Larry "Razor" Sharp, Lee Laquette, Tim Watts and Cody Hanna. Promoter "King" John Vernaus runs his boxing gym out of his Higgins Autobody shop. He brings Winnipeg fight fans Halloween Havoc 2 this Friday Night at The Gates on Roblin. Also fighting on the five bout card are Antwan Robertson vs. Hassan Wasswa, Lee Laquette vs. Rory Coveney, Willshaun Boxley vs. Josh Dahl, and Matt Gembey takes on Jose Leonardo Corona in the main event.
