Back with Bad Intentions/ Fightnews.ca

Chad "Bad Intentions" Brisson makes his way back to the ring today. Brisson, a 6 time national champion in the amateurs, hasn’t fought in 3 years since he left the sport for personal reasons. With a 21-2 record with 12 knockouts, Brisson looks to come out tonight guns blazing and get back into the championship mix within 18 months. In preparation for his return Chad trained at GoJo Gym under Sherbrook Street Boxing Club coach Ken Johnson while solid amateurs Kyle Olivera, and brothers Reece and Brian Settee have been doing most of the sparring. Brisson takes on Jose Corona (8-11, 6KO’s) of Mexico.

Boxing under a new coach, Ken Johnson said of Brisson “I am very impressed in what I have seen in his development, Chad is a high level pro, very organized in his workouts, his attention to detail was a pleasure to watch. This is a fighter that has been around, he’s trained and fought out in Philly and July 8th, we’ll see his hard work accumulate into success.”

The last time Brisson fought he got a ten round decision win over Russell Stoner Jones September 29th 2006, in Philadelphia. Brisson has knocked out all six opponents he has faced here in Winnipeg and looks to continue with his winning ways. Brisson in undefeated in his last eleven fights knocking out eight of those opponents.
